Depends on how cruel it is. If you're going in blind so you need versatile skills and magic to survive. If you know exactly what you're dealing with then you choose something more specific.

I would prob like in the following order:
  • Rapid Language Growth
  • Adaptable Immune System or a Improved Immune System
  • Poison Immunity or Poison Tolerance
  • Eidetic Memory or Improved Mental
  • General Body Improvement
oh and One Native Magic or Supernatural power around 3rd or 4th

All to improve my general odds massively, to allow me to survive regardless if its peaceful or a harsh fantasy world. With my language growth allowing me to learn the native languages without coming off as unusual. Immune system and Poison to combat any dangers that could come about from eating and breathing new world. and so on.

Damnit follow the common sense ...we don't want you to return home
The initial idea was to survive the cruel isekai world.

If not, a teleportation spell to yeet me away from danger, but not to other dangers.

Ie, safe zone teleportation.

My personal checklist. It's important to have at least one skill from each category- however, having a diverse range of skills from each category is the best way to survive. Having a fire immunity won't help against a mind mage, for example.
  • Perception and Anti-Perception
  • Mobility, Teleportation and Evasion
  • Immunities, Damage Mitigation and Redirection
  • Healing and Resource Recovery (Including Crafting to recover consumables and equipment)
  • Utility
The order of events as I see it:
If the enemy sees you first, you are dead.
If you see the enemy first, you have control of how the fight plays out. You can hide, run away, or launch a sneak attack.
If you can outrun the enemy, or move through a terrain they can't (Flight, Swimming, Burrowing) then you escape.
If the enemy catches up, you need to be able to survive at least one hit. (In some cases, reflecting damage can cause more damage than you can deal normally if the enemy is strong enough, so that can be an invaluable skill.)
After that, try to instantly heal up to full so you can take another hit. Recovery of mana and stamina are equally important, as running out of the resources that allow you to escape or cast defensive spells is death.
If the first hit manages to destroy your equipment, then surviving the next hit may become impossible, so you also need to be able to repair or create new equipment in the heat of the moment.

Lastly, no matter how cruel the world is, you still need to live in it. For utility, the main ones I suggest are:
Skills for reducing 'needs' like food or sleep, like Photosynthesis or a Mana Eating skill, so you can survive without eating potentially poisonous foods or exposing your unconscious self to ambush predators;
Elemental Manipulation skills for safe and easy food, water, shelter and hobbies;
Storage and Gathering skills, for resources you might need or easy cash;
Automation Type skills like Enchantments or Golem creation.
Last and least important.
Offensive skills. Survival is more important, but it may be worth having a single target and AoE skill for each of Touch range, Melee range, Mid Range, Long Range, and Siege.

There's probably more, but I'm not smart.
