Posting too many chapters in a day is considered spamming on Scribblehub.

But what exactly is "too many"?
Is it 10? 12? 15? 20?

Is this considered for one story? Or overall all the total chapter count of an user's all stories in a day?

What's the cooldown time?

I was just curious. I am not thinking of pulling any stunt.

Absolutely not.

I think it's an hourly thing, not a daily thing.

I don't understand how all these writers are churning out chapters and chapters, several times a week. It takes me 1-2 weeks to polish one chapter to where I'm comfortable sharing it with the world.

Yesterday, I experimented with releasing a new chapter and placing it between older chapters. Using the RR algorithm, the chapter should appear in the latest updates, and when readers access the chapter, it will be linked to the older chapters.

However, SH, this doesn't work. What happened was that the new chapter you released didn't appear in the latest updates. My chapter completely failed to be indexed and could only be accessed through the novel page.

I suspect the system recognized it as spam because the older chapters (which numbered over 60 chapters) were stacked on top of the new chapter. The same thing might also be true if you release many chapters in close succession. Your chapter likely won't appear in the latest updates.

Maybe they have already written many chapters and have it ready to freely upload? That's a possibility.

There's no such thing as a spam limit.

These are quotes from Tony, the site owner himself, addressing it.

So how do you explain this phenomenon? Is it a bug?

Is this something like this, The latest chapter numerically is 10, but you add new chapter 5.5.

Maybe It only take the latest chapter numerically. And about spamming chapter i think it should not matter how many you post in close succession cause the latest update only showing 1 chapter per title

Idk but its better to spread them out, use the schedule feature since it will get more views that way and more ppl will see it on the main page at the time it's updated.
