5k per day is still pretty good though. That's around, what, 15+ pages depending on formatting. Even 4k words is pretty alright. Stephen King reportedly wrote only 6 pages a day, or roughly 2k words. I'd say you're just writing the average amount compared to the above and beyond you were doing before. Nothing wrong with slowing down a little, especially after 3 years of writing 10k+ a day.
