A. You are a female
B. Your father has two daughters from the same spouse.
C. You are your father's daughter
D. Your sister has the same mother as you

Therefore, the statement "Your own sister is your father's other daughter" is a roundabout way of saying both of you have the same father. Which, duh.

If assumption A is wrong and you happen to be a male, thus so is Assumption C, cuz you are his son, then I am missing a person, namely "the other daughter", because "other" here means more than one.

It shouldn't change the dynamic unless if you want it to change. Do you still love them like family? If yes, then it should be fine. Do bloodlines really matter more than the bonds you've made? If not, then things should stay the same. Half siblings are still siblings.

Not half sister, she has the same father and mother as Ai-chan. Shocking right?!!! Like she's so different from Ai-chan, apart from the appearance. Like, she loves spaghetti, eventhough she sucks at cooking it while nobody else in the family is a fan of spaghetti. Well, we can eat spaghetti, we just don't prefer it. Ai-chan's family love rice, but she isn't into it so much.

Ai-chan loves cosplaying, but she always said, "Eww, why are you so nerdy?" Ai-chan also loves computer games, but she's only into mobile games. What a bitch.

The only thing that we are particularly similar in, is that she doesn't like durian. But just because she doesn't like durian, doesn't make her Ai-chan's sister. There are a lot of people who dislike durian, doesn't make them Ai-chan's uncle, brother, sister or son.
