I don't know if it count's as free time, but I do a surprising amount of cooking/baking. An inexplicably large amount of time socializing (for a recalcitrant hermit), the endless chores that come with owning a house, listen to a few too many podcasts, and if I'm able to actually engage in some good time management, I'll watch an anime or play a game.

Hey everyone! As a writer, I'm curious about how you all spend your downtime.

Of course, writing your own stories or reading others is a given. But when you’re not in the mood for that, what else do you do?

Do you enjoy watching movies, spending time with family, or discussing your stories with friends? I know that those who have work or college commitments often feel like there's no time for anything else, juggling writing with jobs or family responsibilities.

This thread is open for any discussion.
Feel free to share your thoughts, vent a little, or just have fun! I'm all ears!

I draw, code workbooks, or take up other stuff that interests me. Learning a few new things is welcome for me; the more I know, the more I depend less on others.

Swole thread!!!

Workout, ballroom, cook class ( nothing but gays, 4chan lied to me about the grandmas), desperately get through my years long backlog on Steam, shitpost on reddit, bird watching.

I want to find a place near me that offers greco-roman wrestling.

I used to be more active, but these days I pretty much spend my time writing, gaming, or learning useless new skills or hobbies. In the past, I've learned to flick pennies, throw cards, and a little sleight of hand. Currently, I'm learning python so I can work on a VN.

Gaming, watching TV shows. Hardly reading actually.

I hang out with my wife/daughter and play video games when I have alone time. Hanging out with my family does often include at least a little bit of watching shows or movies; anime with my wife, My Little Pony or Disney classics with my daughter. I don’t read much, but I listen to a lot of audiobooks during my commute.

Exercise, sleep, watch dramas and cook. I got 10 loaves of bread, 2 full cookie jars and 4 gallons of iced tea...

Oh, great.
What breed?
(I have a bulldog.)
A rescue dog who is at least part Jack Russell Terrier, but we have no clue what the other parts are (just that, at almost four months, she's already bigger than all but the largest male JRTs). We lost our second Pit Bull/Bull Mastiff a week and a half ago, but my wife claims this one is to replace the sister of that dog, who died a little over a year ago and keep our full-blooded pit bull from feeling too lonely now that she's our only dog.

1) I read.
2) I workout/practice my martial arts.
3) I cook.
4) I aggravate my pets.
5) Occasionally go to the local shooting range.
6) And I hopefully find some time to nap in there somewhere since I work mostly nights.

This is more or less the majority of my life. It's not much, but it's peaceful and I enjoy it. Low-stress.

Video games, D&D, raising foster cats, poking around on Reddit and such.

A lot of my time is spent writing, editing, or trying to get my brain to focus on them. :D

Reading, Gran Turismo 7, Board games, Final Fantasy XI, or writing another story.

Sometimes baking cookies or home-made bread.
