Medieval - magic in the modern world

Sounds weird. Either the world is medieval, which means people are living behind stone walls without working plumbing or it's modern and there are skyscrapers and people can ise magic. The only thing that might be is that there are vast differences between populace and elite/countries. Then there is the possibility of renaissance setting. This would include magical street lights, some kind of magical coaches and so on which accelerates raises everything to lifestyle of 1700-1900.
