Like in genshin, each nation is based on IrL nations
Monsdadt = Germany
Liyue = China
Inazuma = Japan
Sumeru = Egypt
Fontaine = Brittain (early industrial revolution i think)
Snezhnaya = Russia
Natlan = Native America

Same goes with honkai Impact, but their characters are of different nationality.

Kiana Kaslana = Germany
Mei Raiden = Japan
Bronya Zaychik = Russia

Funnily enough, of all the Bronyas across all of Mihoyo's games... none of them are tanks. Well... maybe one of them, but she's more of a tank in the literal sense that she's an entire weapon system.
