Heres a tip if you want to get ideas.

Before you go to bed, sometimes you get flooded with ideas which does not help with your sleep schedule. Just grab a note pad and list them all down. Eventually, when you wake up, you'll have tons of ideas on how to move the story forward.

Have you ever tried writing down your ideas when you get them? Something vague, not the whole thing.
