Nahrenne, there is a vast difference between these two. You joke about me having a diaper and changing it, while I only say that I was here before Azure Fog. These are not equivalent.
Why do you think they are equivalent? This is not rhetorical by the way.
Most importantly, one of the biggest things that separate my light-hearted jest from your sharper jab, is that I made it crystal-clear to Azure Fog that I should not be taken seriously. Three times in a row, I undercut my arrogance by explicitly pointing out that I was being arrogant, therefore not being arrogant. It is a well-known literary tool.
So I did not interpret your joke as malicious without reason.
Where did you put anything that would infer your joke was actually not meant in all seriousness? Again, this is a genuine question, as even as I reread your joke, the phrasing still hits me blunt as a rock. I genuinely cannot see anything to latch onto so as to interpret your joke as affectionate or jokily.
And in response to your condescension? dismissal? disparagement? (it is one of those words but I am unsure which. Regardless, again, I don't think either of those were intended, but again, phrasing) to my anger, I am not lumping you in with them. Voidiris was merely expressing confusion, so I explained - whether they were asking exactly that question or not *shrugs* - why this angers me enough that I would actually bring this up.
Normally, I would just simmer in silence, and you would never know that what you had said had pissed me off fiercely. Family matters were merely the straw that broke the camel's back. The rest of the straw bale in question is from your joke, and your joke alone. I am not mistaking you for them.
