I am also taking commission. £100 per pen stroke. You have no say on what I draw and you are not allowed to make changes. There are also no guarantees you will get your drawingView attachment 18714
You just described the first artist I hired. Super expensive. Didn't draw what I asked for. Refused to change it because it was their "artistic vision". Never got art from them again.

Yeah, some artists are just hard to work with. I had to explain I wanted breasts larger the characters head over and over and they still didn’t get it.

That is easy to avoid by looking at their portfolio. Like if I wanted big booba calvinsims would be a good choice.

Though for the more popular artists trying to get a comm from them is problematic.

Well, AI has great boobas now, there is no need to get an artist anymore.
This is true, that's why I was laughing at those artists on Twitter last time ganging up on a client who asked for an update for his art he commissioned and paid for three days before, only for him to suddenly reimbursed and blocked by the same artist.

Same people yapping about people who use AI for their art needs.

Honestly, I'm never afraid of AI. The fad can peak, and I can still draw without spending a penny on an app. I have all the time to work on my story illustrations, while taking commissions occassionaly, since I think that once AI arts proliferate, we human artists will become a 'luxury' instead of a 'need'...pruning the industry of bitchy undesirables.

And, this isn't my income source, so I can go for days--even decades--without commisions.

I was talking about smut art. There is no need for artists.

if you want something specific however, artists are still necessary.
I don’t think AI can replace everything

True, AI can't replace the real artists, it will only remove the superficial ones.

Because, as an illustrator myself, I'm feeling the bite of AI proliferation already. Less commissions, people requesting for 'less price for more stuff', etc.

I’ll probably just use it to generate a book cover, much cheaper than hiring an artist. If I want to design a specific character though I’d use an artist.

See? Instead of sourcing the cover to an artist, you'll have it done by the AI, thereby lessening the income opportunity for the artist.

Of course, it's understandable. People will have to get the cheapest way possible to have their needs/wants fulfilled. And those 'elites' on Twitter still bitching around thinking they can always dictate the industry how they want it.

By the way, I especialize on cover artwork, that's why I'm feeling the bite of AI proliferation. Still, I'm just weathering it. ??

Honestly I think Hans is doing most of it for free. He said requesters not commissioners
Yep, most of my 'commissions' aren't paid. I'm doing them for free.

Though, I sometimes get some payment, since I draw by pen and paper method, and art materials ain't cheap here.

But then, I know my artstyle can't match the big guys on Twitter so I don't dare advertise much.

I personally love your art! If I was rolling in money, you would also be rolling in money from commissions! :blob_nom:

Oh, now the foots on the other shoe, and the turns have been tabled!~
No, it's just the logical conclusion since you're willing to spend money. What's to say you don't already have the money and just want to divert attention over the fact you wanted me to look sinister in the artwork.

I mean, you pay enough attention to the stunts I pull on this site to know what I'm doing.
