Congratulations, you don't know what a movie is.
He definitely went off topic, but I imagine some terrifying monsters can come from our own dreams. I've had some real nasty monsters in my dreams, but they don't count, so I won't mention them.

Weirdly enough the thing I’ve seen in a movie that freaked me the fuck out more than anything else was actually the villain in the movie Kingsmen. Not a monster, even quite funny and charming, but utterly monstrous.

Making everyone on earth overwhelmingly WANT to kill everyone around them (almost certainly their own closest friends and family more often than not) for even a few minutes is something that lives rent free in my head as the most hideously evil thing I’ve seen anyone do in any piece of media. At least in terms of what disturbs me, due to the implications and likely aftereffects.

Situations more than monsters stick with me. I had trouble falling asleep for a few days after seeing "The Omega Man" - the monsters were kind of lame, really - purple make-up and dead-looking eyes and not much else. But the story itself - the silent world, and then Norville finding a group of survivors, making a cure from his own blood - at the same time the leader of the survivors gives in to the plague and becomes a monster, and then him dying at the end, leaving hope for the cure to be spread, but he will never know... That whole mix of stuff scarred me more than any single monster ever could.

Not quite a time portal. They were turned into little wooden sculptures and never aged. I vaguely remember one of them commenting on the witch being so old because I think she was a sister to one of them.

Ernest movies were awesome, I miss Jim Varney's acting.
Ah, it has been a few years since I watched it. I remember the witch being their sister but man, we're those movies awesome. The TV show was not that great though.
