Hello folks!

To put it simply, this is my thread to review other people's stories by request.

I like to be a busy person so just looking for something additional to do.

I will review the first few chapters of the story (between 3 to 5) and base my opinion on how easy it is to get into the story. I don't tend to be harsh with my reviewing but I can be a little blunt. While I have never reviewed anything on Scribblehub before, you can see examples of my review style on Novelupdates (yes, I am L8rose on there too).

If these are the main identifiers, I will not review:
  • Modern
    • Kind of ties to Slice of Life. If there is nothing else to the story but a modern retelling of something, I will pass. I don't care if it's the Fellowship set in Downtown Manhatten (They're taking the hobbits to Iowa!) or Cersei is about to blow up New York... I have zero interest.
  • Romance
    • Hetero, GL, BL, Pods, Harem, etc. I won't review if this is the main genre of the story. If the sole point is just how Character A gets into whoever's pants, then I'll pass. Exceptions are things like Regression with a side of Revenge. Or Transmigration into another world. Or... you get the point.
  • School Life
    • I have done way too much college to want to read about school. Ever.
  • Slice of Life
    • I will review SoL if it is set in a non-modern setting. Show me peasant life in the 1500s and I will definitely review (and probably favorite if I'm to be honest) but modern SoL is just not my thing.
  • Smut
    • I have no problem with reading smut but generally, there isn't much to review other than "Oh, uh... sex writing is good?" which feels weird TBH.
  • Sports
    • I don't like sports. Sorry.

All I need is a link and a brief explanation of the story.
Try out mine, got rich world building, power system and a unique protagonist that I can guarantee you have never encountered before.

Psst: It helps if you either put a link to it in your signature or into the post itself. There is a tutorial in the General section of the site that covers this if you don't want to (as I did) trial and error it...

Heya! I don't know if you're still taking requests but I have a story for you to review if you want :)
It's basically a bunch of different genres combined together, like fantasy, apocalypse, adventure, etc.
It centers around two high schoolers that lost their memory, and they end up jumping between dimensions as they try to uncover who they really are and the history of this new universe.
Here's the story link:
Thanks in advance, and it's totally up to you if you want to read :D

Hi! If possible, you could review my story. Inspired by Brandon Sanderson and authors like Tolkien. The premise is the following:

"After a long and prosperous time of peace, the inhabitants of Mariandel live happily, ignoring the reality of their world. Humans, Hulgor and Lyrathies rule the continent, which once hosted the greatest of wars, and which has now forgotten what it is to fight.

A threat hidden in plain sight for centuries is ready to return, stronger than ever. Fueled by revenge and pure evil, its goal is clear: destroy everyone. However, two people seem to be aware. Miriel, a young descendant of a sighted family, has dreams about a future where the end of humanity is reflected. Zedric, a strange man closer to old age than youth, is one of the few who knows the truth of the world.

Can Miriel and Zedric uncover the world's most hidden secrets? Who are the good guys and who are the bad guys?"

The Forgotten Curse is the first book in a trilogy that will explore an entire world. I hope you are well prepared for the adventures to come!

I’ll take some of that sweet sweet goodness. The candy should be in the signature.

PS: Much obliged by the way.

I like it, but the reading process was barely tolerable. Why not use quotation marks?

If you find the time to give me feedback on my fantasy adventure story I’ve got going on right now I’d be so grateful!

The key genres are Fantasy, Adventure, Drama, Horror and Supernatural.

While I do have romance in the genre tags (one gay, one lesbian) it is very much a secondary subplot to the fact that a bunch of dryads are being terrorized by an Archfey and hunted by her werewolf minions after one of them stole life-extending peaches from her garden. Naturally a group of four set out to find the last statue of their creator goddess for help in a spooky forest called The Dark that tries to kill them and also mess with their heads.

Priorities, yknow?

There’s a fair bit of pining on one character’s part in chapter 4 (which he totally fumbles) but it’s probably the most that’s going to happen for a good long while.
