Remember to report translations

Recently there have been many stories popping up in trending front page and going for several hundred chapters without being reported. Translations are supposed to be hidden as for the rules. Before most translators would self-report, and they would be instant hidden. However, now translations are popping up and continuing without being reported.

If the translators aren't reporting them, we should be reporting them. It hurts original authors who want to get on trending as well. In the past few days there have been like 10 stories in top 100 trending, taking slots from potential original stories.

It's okay to host translations on Scribble Hub, since Novel Updates will reroute them here, but if you are a translator make sure to report the story as a translation after you upload. And if you are a reader and find translated stories that aren't hidden from the search or appearing on trending, make sure to report them.

I guess so, but what if the wrong translation is reported? As in an author who translated their work?

I get that, but I am not familiar with translations to the point to be aware which one to report and which one to not. :blob_blank:

Or is this for any translation? Even original ones?

Better to report them all. In worst case Tony could be held liable for unofficial translations

I can't confirm if these are translations since I didn't put more effort into finding the original CN versions but "The Demonic Cultivator In Zombie World" and recent one where "MC isekaid and Heroines can read his mind" have manhwas of these stories. They've been in the top 5 trending sometimes.
These translations were released just a bit after the manhwas. I can't confirm if there's even an original CN webnovel version for these since they might also be a manhwa original.

The latter one was already reported and taken down. Not sure about the former one.

I'm convinced they're doing this on purpose. They already know that it isn't allowed but they're greedy for the exposure...
