Oh and tons and tons of Eurobeat
Here's come quick recommendation for some sick Eurobeat.
The Top by Ken Blast is a fast paced, feel-good tune to "blast" through. It's a great start if you're a newcomer to the genre, and a great staple for those looking for an Eurobeat to play on repeat in the gym.
Admittedly, this is one of the few songs that actually hit me in the 'feels' (along with RADWIMPS' Grand Escape and Ali's Wild Side). It's as fast as Eurobeat goes but it's also light on its tone. The vocals are done with the combination of speed and grace, along with the actual music itself. It has this insanely catchy jingle on its chorus that brought me tight-hearted once on my first listen. AlphaRetard's Must Listen, this one.
Remember that Kansai Dorifto meme? Remember that scene? This music was playing along with the race during that iconic moment. It's nothing special; it's your regular Eurobeat collection. If you're a sentimental guy like me looking to cash in on some iconic music in the internet, this is one to go.
White Light.
This one's fresh from the soundtrack of the anime's final season (which is to say as fresh as milk left overnight outside the car porch). It's got the style of the OG songs, with the still-cringy combination of Japanese/English lyrics uncomfortably paired together like a boy/girl partner in a school trip to the museum. Nonetheless, it's got the spiritual tune and the light-hearted tone of its precedents. Go for it if you want something to jam tonight.
