I would feel nothing. You know why?How would you feel if you were the main protagonist of your story and then out of nowhere, some random guy comes into your story, steals your potential love interest(s), and pushes you into the background while he takes all the spotlight, turning you into an extra?
Because my love interest is not something that can be "stolen" unless you are talking about physically kidnapping her. If that is the case, then he's dead. And I mean, I will murder him as hard as I can. I will find him and straight up murder him because I won't give him a chance to surrender. You fuck with my family, your life is forfeit.
Now if You mean I am in someone ELSE's story and I have some ditz of a woman as a "love interest" and she can be "stolen" because he is so charming that she "loves him", Then fuck that fickle bitch. I don't need some disloyal, monkey branching, two-timing, hypergamous whore as my "potential love interest". I got better things to do with my time, like establish myself in my career as well as gather power and influence.
Perhaps I will devote some time to finding a "love interest" when I have established myself as I see fit, but even in that case, it would have to be a woman who was interesting and someone I would enjoy spending the next few decades of my life with, not some floozy who depends on her beauty and big eyes to get her through her social situations. Someone intelligent who I can spend time with in long conversations about humorous topics, discuss books I am working on, or interesting thought problems. Someone who is intelligent and in many ways my equal. Someone who has skills that compliment me and makes my life easier, but not in a way that makes me dependent on her. Someone who understands the division of labor so that we can maximize our shared achievements. Someone who works with me, not against me. A partner.
Like My Wife.
