So we can take the prompt as something other than Israfil, because this picture sure doesn't look like Israfil to me that much.

Well then, challenge accepted. I'll turn it into whatever I can.
Good luck~!

Then it will be an argument post, not a story!
As in if anyone ask you how does your story relate to the prompt. You should be able to answer that question. You don't necessarily have to include it in your entry. Sorry if I'm being confusing.

Thanks, @Nahrenne. I hope that you'll like it.

One more question for @Alverost , it's okay if I turn it into any genre, right? You don't seem to state preferences...

Edit: Theme?? What's it? What's the theme? Is it something other than the picture? Like dark, demon, blah blah...

That's what I want to know. What is the theme? It's Israfil, that much I know.
The theme is the picture. It's how view the picture and what element can you take away from the picture. You can go for what the picture inspire you to write or you can go for the source of the picture. It is entirely up to you. Picture prompts target an author imagination and how they can use words write up a story just from one single picture

You know the saying one picture is worth a thousand words.

So it's school once again! Picture study! Ok, then. I take the challenge.

In this case, worth between 2000-6000 words.

*Cough cough*

And I hope you guys are patient with me as like I've said this is a learning process in hosting events. I'll try my best to answer your questions and if you have complaints we can make amends to future competition. @TwilightForest

Why can't you guys be a bit more arrogant? Must you be so polite?
Let's get over with this competition first:)

@FallingLeaves incase you missed it. The theme is the picture. Picture prompts target the authors imagination. What they can do with something vague and obscure. A picture is worth a thousand words (in this cause 2,000 to 6,000 like Nahrenne said). You can use whatever genre you so desire.

Hey, I just have some questions for the contest.

How would one submit their story when they're done? Also I kind of looked at the prompt, forgot what it was, then continued writing so it's kind of off now... Is that still ok? My story would still be somewhat the same it's just that I made the character a human instead of a star/space/galaxy thingy.

To submit you have to post it on the main thread within a spoiler tag and please include the name. If it is nsfw then please include a warning.

Regarding the prompt, as long as you can argue why your story matches with the story when asked then that would be fine. However, please make sure you are using the prompt in your story and not just writing a random story.

How do I submit the story? I'm confused. Where exactly? I'm bad with forums...

You post it on the main SSSC thread and post the story in a spoiler tag. It's a bit messy right now but it will be cleaned up afterwards.
