Question re: beastmen, beastkin etc in Isekai stories...

Why not separating them in different race or just go Beastmen = Furry, Demi-Human = catgirl
You can have Demi-Human for every race that you could imagine and depending of the bloodline of the parent, you can have it more or less "furry" on the scaling, having just cat ears and tail or having a bit of fur, etc...

Well shapeshifting werewolves work out because... --> shapeshift to human skin! Works out. Although I'm not sure someone would like having to get naked and hide their clothes when they go to superhero mode... and then have to be a streaker when combat ends when they have to go find their clothes again... what do people think about that problem?

I like when stories have the full range of options in their characters. animalperson furries, ear+tail editions, talking animals, meowing/barking/chirping/etc humans, werecats, various centaurs, animal head humans, human head animals, human-animal chimeras, vaguely feline abominations of fur and flesh, and more.

Furries are uncanny valley for me, and I knew a few fursuit people... Scary freaks those.

Funny enough I'm ok with bestiality in pron, but not with furries for some reason.

That was a problem for my novel, but since it's in a futuristic era, I just added a function to a tool that all humans have that contain a dimensional space in it. To simplify it, the mc just installed a program that "take his clothes before he torn them apart when transforming, and when the transformation end, the tool "give" the clothes back.

It was something like the clothe tool in Phantasy Star Universe, that let you change clothe when you want.
