Not that its bad or that you shouldnt do yaoi. But that the audience for SH in particular....well it's not their cup of tea. Hence a "Sisyphus rock" difficulty level task.
You would have better chances, if you wrote in AO3 or fanfic.net
or this specialised (for women) websites full of female readers, where 9 series on 10 are female romance or yaoi stuff.
But sadly this last part, not sure it exist on western part of internet. I mean, there is danmei.com (not sure if .com but basically "danmei") for chinese internet. EVEN JP had a separate website for "female users" compared to syosetu / syosetu18 / nocturne.com, called (wait a second i search the old thread about it on NU forum....) "

Hetalia is good. I don't care to be honest if good or bad.
But that SH....well it's not really mainstream well-known popular.
Its basically if someone would try to do a RWBY or a AVATAR or a POKEMON or a ARCANE or a DANGANRONPA fanfic on SH.
There are exceptions, but its mostly bc its smut and popular things. Danmachi (it looks very popular but in fact not really, the core fans would say it too). They can only exist on SH if its a R18 story where the MC get hestia. (can't someone do a Danmachi Loki ffs orz T_T)
Anyway i finished.
My recommendation, try posting somewhere where its more likely to succeed.
Though, seeing as you tried to write a crack story, i guess AO3 could work.
Especially with the number of yaoi stuff there, that make it look like its a fujoshi website or a non-2d-fanfic-website, despite welcoming everything.
