So, I know this has been beaten to death, but with developments happening almost daily, I'm curious...

Since I'm nearing the completion of my 2nd novel, I'm looking to start publishing. Right now, I have no clue on where I should consider. First option is obviously a big name, like KDP or Google Play. But my issue is 2 fold: I don't want to remove them from here, and don't know if either of those require full exclusivity. and secondly, I write mature content, and am unsure on how either of those treat more adult subject books.

To clarify, neither of my books are entirely pornographic. They are plot with explicit sex thrown in like a seasoning, rather than the sole focus.

While I do like the accessibility of the Play Store (seriously, it's on every android phone by default), I prefer the idea that on KDP, you can open the option of buying a physical copy as well as E-books.

Does anyone have any suggestions or perhaps other platforms that I've overlooked?

My small press publishes through KDP, and they've never had an issue with mature content in our books. I don't deal directly with KDP, only with the manuscripts, so there's not much more I can tell you about that.

As long as you don't enroll your book into kindle unlimited, you're good. KU requires exclusivity for 90 days and you have to manually unenroll your book at that time. KDP doesn't like incest or dubcon. I'm not sure about Google play, but it's probably similar to KDP as far as content guidelines.

so as long as I avoid KU and just use KDP, I'm good to go?
