Those asterisks are from the butler, and it makes you as an author to lack a lot of credibility from the fact you didn't even try to hide it. Combining with trying to posting here where only unhinged veterans lurk, it makes the reason to posting here completely baffling in motive. What do you think you'll get by posting here, when your story looks generic as fuck? Repent, or at least make a good enough premise so anyone with more than two brain cells would read past this worthless promotion.

I feel like most of the self-promotion I've seen on sites like this is filled with spelling and grammar errors. I just don't get it.

You walked into a forum full of experienced Readers and writers, like people who make a living out of this, dropped a wall of cliché-riddled text with more typos than plot, and expected applause?

Some people really need to hesitate smh

I do think stuff like this needs to be gatekeeped doe. There's only two slots for threads in the home page.

I might be biased since I am generally against posting ads and promotions of novels on community forums as posts.

I agree, I don't get the sense of bullying. Just telling the author what they apparently don't want to hear. I took a look and I know exactly what the others are saying.

They're just promoters, but the way comments sound, it as if it was generated by AI, or they don't actually know what to say, so they used AI

It's just a copy and paste from Google docs, I didn't expect much errors, but I can still edit them

Nothing, but Scribblehub forum is small and not particularly fast moving. I didnt take a screenshot of it but your first thread (which i got deleted btw) was a few threads down on the author general forum, you could of simply bumped that thread not started a new one.

A big part of this whole process that I learned after getting strips torn off me (happily, I was asking for critical feedback) is you can't take what people say about your writing personally, you gotta be objective about this stuff.

If you come in swinging, you gotta realize people are going to swing right back, and arrogance really won't help.

Most of the time, when people say something isn't working, or not normal, or improper, it's because it is, it's not always about people being jerks, its because you wrote something, never had another person look at it, and don't realize your not actually up to standard with 90% of what people read, not just whats out there, but what people read.

Don't get mad, learn from it, rewrite your story if it's needed, and give it the spit and polish. Otherwise, this might not be for you.
