I ask to all the writers here: would you feel 100% comfortable showing your writing to a dating prospect?

Even if there's nothing smutty about what she writes, she might still want to keep that part of herself private. It might be way easier for her to write, knowing that only strangers on the Internet will ever get to read it. That shit can be personal.

I'm probably unusual in that two of the three women I've been serious with knew I was a hobby writer when we met (and the other one pushed me into learning to write erotica).
My RPG hobbies were tougher to reveal (except for the one I met through them) than my writing, to be honest, but as soon as it felt like it was getting serious, I made sure everything was on the table. Better to air everything out early rather than be almost ready to give or get a proposal and find out some little thing you could have mentioned casually before is a deal breaker...

Not actually that low. Last time I went to a company sponsored learning course, I sat next to a colleague from another branch, at least 20 years my senior - turns out she's also a writer on Ao3.
