Tell me your pet peeves.
I'll start.
One of my pet peeves is the mistyping on my phone screen's keyboard. I know I am the cause, but i think phones' on-screen keyboards should be larger.
For example. I typed in "pet perves" while typing "pet peeves"....
Readers that can’t read the synopsis of a story. I mean, I feel like a lot of people must not read synopsis of stories with any sort of critical eye. I’ve gotten comments in
early chapters that go: “Rose can’t catch a break, I’ll drop the story.”
Yeah, no kidding? The synopsis says she was tossed out and is fighting against the world itself in many ways to carve out her freedom. Even used the words ‘Rose Against The Heavens.’ What were you expecting going into a story that claims its main character is ‘Raging, an adversary to a cruel world’? Hmm?
I wouldn’t even be mildly annoyed if they said it in like chapter 60 or something but, no, they say it at chapter 21. And I’m like ??? That’s barely 20% of the current chapter count (which is more than a hundred btw), how can you claim she
never catches a break? (she does btw, but telling them that seems useless)
And then there’s Readers who think their inputs to the story
must be taken seriously and written by the author. Yeah
