Personal Rant: Ungrateful Audience

Some people are afraid to go to therapy, or they believe it is beyond their budget, so they shit on people on the internet instead.

It really sucks, but it's the ultimate test to making content online in any form. Haters will always hate, and I can tell you for sure that most of those people don't even want to hate on others, they just find it impossible to stop; failing that, they don't even realize they're hating. If you want a technological phrase, their executive functions are lacking in behavior restraint. And no therapy is going to help anyone that isn't in it.

You're doing a great job, you've written so much and you're still continuing! Ignore them, look away, do what you need to for yourself, not them. You're right, you don't owe anyone anything. So what if some people think your writing sucks? I think English sucks, but I don't complain to the president about it everyday. I think coffee tastes bad, but I'm not commenting on every person walking with coffee. Alcohol is classified as a drug, but no one's saying we should make it illegal. Those people aren't worth your time.

I ate popcorn while reading your rant. That said, I have ranted about such things here too, so I am going to tell you the wisdom I have collected from my fellow Scribblehubbers, who inspire me to push forward:
-Write for yourself.
-Don't stalk your readers.
-The readers are like these pet games from the early 2000s. If you don't feed them with positivity, they will move to greener pastures.
-If you don't have anything good to say, keep mum. (Stolen from Bambi)

One such experience could be a coincidence. But reading the same experience again and again is no longer one dot. But a line.

I expected it since a while ago, when I once gave general advice to someone who was literally asking for advice, only to be reemed up the rear that I didn't know what I was talking about and that I'm not realistic and all that jazz. Some people are stupid, some people are smart. The internet has it all, the entire variety all packed in one place. Negative comments and reviews are just part of web novels.

There's also some interesting psychology on reviews for any product or any service, showing that people in general are far more likely to take the time of their day to review something in a negative way more than in a positive way. Something to do with anger being more motivating than the wholesomeness of something worthwhile. I forgot where I read that, but it was an interesting statistic to contemplate.

Yep. One negative opinion on sports by a single character is more often met with the chorus of screams raging on the internet. Sometimes people get mad at others for not liking sports IRL.
