Chara design is lacking, as a old work, unlike recent works like JJK gojou satoru (that have decades to inspire from, genshin and star rail is an example of "taking notes from previous things" / kafka or even hololive later gen also examples)

And the side series for him was horrible.
And voice-actor doesnt do justice (the crazy laugh fool normies its good) to him. Its like Kuroko could be far sexier or attractive if not for her voice.

It is historical. Do you think knights fought each other with the intention of killing? The peasant frontline vegetable, most certainly. But not the nobility. For the nobility of the high medieval era, war was a sport for personal adventurer and amusement, and fighting an honourable affair. Nobody of them had any actual interest in dying.

Things only started to change when these dirty commoners introduced their brutish methods and refused to be slaughtered en masse by the honourbale knights like in the centuries past.

In visual forms (especially animation) it is kind of cool. Heck, seeing Doomsday take down the entire Justice League second string with one hand literally tied behind his back was kind of cool. In text stories, some of the "cool factor" is left more to the imagination and kind of goes away and it can be lame, cool, or "just a footnote" depending on how it is presented and how important it is to the story.
