PB&J Ratio

As I make myself the first PB & J sandwich after a long time, the question has once more arisen in my brain. Achieving the perfect ratio of Peanut Butter and Jelly has eluded me for nearly three decades now, but there have been times when I have come close.

With that, I wish to know of other's sandwich preferences. Why? Because PB&J is a staple of humanity and no matter where you go in the world, it exists and I exist to eat it.

So, tell me. What is your perfect ratio of Peanut Butter to Jelly on a sandwich? Jam and Jelly are synonymous with one another so if you use jam instead, just ratio with that.

I'm a 2PB-1J fan. But sometimes I go heathenous and can do 3PB-1J. Depends on how much milk I have and if I just worked out.

I find the peanut butter more potent than the jelly so the ratio should not be 1 : 1

you apply a thin layer of peanut butter to both sides of the inner sandwich so that the jelly doesn't saturate the bread
edit: I like to toast my bread and use good old fashioned grape jelly and smooth peanut butter

Now I have outlined the bread to keep the jelly from spilling out. But applying a thin layer is new. reckon I'll have to try that.

Additionally what kind of jelly do you prefer and do you toast it or not?

Grape jelly! And toasted bread is fabulous if you have the time.

Thin layer of peanut butter on one side, thin layer of jelly on the other. Too much peanut butter makes your mouth gummy, too much jelly or jam makes it sickeningly sweet (and not in the good way).

It really depends on the quality of the ingredients but I would say usually more jam than pan butter to avoid it being dry. 1:1 if you have really good penutbutter and jam.

For me the ratios depend on the type of PB/J but most of the time it is 1-0 or 0-1.

jelly is too sweet, it needs a 2PB to 1J ratio or else it just tastes like sugar. Anyone who says different, your mom's a hoe

tf fuck is milk cream though? like, whipped cream? sweetened condensed milk? And jam is already sweet, why make it sweeter anyway? lemme see your teeth, buddy.
