There is no shortage of ideas. Heck, there isn't even a shortage of good ideas. Demand for stories vastly outstrips production. A lot of people on patreon even have tiers where you pay them money, and they write a one-shot of your ideas.

The only people who could feasibly sell their story ideas would be people of a similar stature in author fame to either Steven King, Rick Riordan, or Brandon Sanderson. Anyone with less of a proven track record of success is going to struggle to "sell story ideas".

Edit: In fact, you could just pay $20 a month to chatGPT for GPT4, and have it write your story ideas, and that's more likely to actually make you money if you monetized the stories well.
