Overpowered or underpowered MC?

I prefer perfectly powdered Mc with plot relevant powerups but op is easier to write but I also love up creative mc

Either or Neither is Fine:

I ussually preffer a powerful MC up against comparatively powerful enemies. *MC fights comparative equals during the most important fights*

Second choice is an MC with a unique quirk, power, or cheat ability that deosn't really seem overpowered but if they can manage to use it smartly they'll attain their goals. *MC fights comparitive equals during the most important fights*

Third choice is an ordinary human with a decent set of abilities surviving by cleverness and some help from others. *I don't think this is the same as MC being pinata*

? Moo Note: ? Being powerless is not the same as being an idiot. I love to read about normal or even weak characters adjusting to circumstances that are simply mostly beyond their control while exploring how they might succeed or fail.

*I will admit I do have one character right now that defines the role of pinata better than any abused character I've ever read about so far. Not due to stupidity but simply from being a thrown into a hell she was never prepared to suffer and a little bit of defiance that gets unduly punished.
