i got motivated the most when i'm horny and write horny things, but it also made me want to sleep, which made me stop writing rather fast.

though if i got really horny when i sleep, i usually have a good dream, though it also made me woke up later even though i slept much earlier.
how horny can you get to the point where it gets you physically tired

And for some reason I imagine gaylolis' partner going:
"No honey, you can't write today. I have my migraine..."

All I can think of is the insanity of me trying to world-build on speedy schedule. Would not recommend. It's like speedrunning a puzzle while you're still cutting the pieces.
Yeah, world-building in such a short timespan is a bit crazy. It's part of the reason why I decided to choose a more enclosed environment, where the worldbuilding is much simpler and I don't have to go into tremendous amounts of detail, but I guess some of us probably had story ideas that we'd thought of with fully-formed worlds that wouldn't need much more in the way of worldbuilding. I still think it's fun, trying to worldbuild on the fly, but that's probably because I've got the kind of story that doesn't need excessive worldbuilding. I can't imagine trying to go for the kingdom building theme would be fun though - that'd require so much worldbuilding in an incredibly short time period that I really wouldn't know where to start.

You do know the story doesn't have to have been completed by the end of the contest, right?
You can take your time with the world-building.
You just have to make sure you have at least 40k words to qualify.
