On Fanfiction.net, I’ve seen bots in the review section ask for commission.

It’s this.

I hope this message finds you well. I recently had the pleasure of reading your story, "One Piece: Ulquiorra Template" and was truly captivated by your compelling narrative and unique vision. The depth of your story, combined with its striking potential, sparked my imagination, and I believe it would translate beautifully into a comic format.

As a professional commission artist with a passion for storytelling through visual art, I am currently open for new projects. I would love the opportunity to collaborate with you in adapting your story into a comic, where I can bring your characters and world to life with meticulous care and creativity. My goal would be to stay true to the essence of your work while enhancing the emotional impact and immersive experience for readers.

If this is something that piques your interest, I would be thrilled to discuss potential collaboration details, including artistic style, project scope, and pricing, to ensure we can create something truly special together. It would be great if we could discuss this further on Discord my username is [graphic_gold] to exchange ideas more seamlessly.

Thank you for your time, and I look forward to the possibility of working together on this exciting project.

I haven’t received one yet, but they are in almost every review. Multiple bots and I got a few in pm’s. is the goal to annoy?

It's probably just the new flavor of the week AI grift.

They get some spam bot to post on every web novel they can find and then use low effort AI generated art to do the commissions. They're not expecting to get anyone really, but the pure volume of messages sent out means that they'll at least get a few bites. That's all they need when it cost them pennies to press a button on an art generator.

Using review and comment sections is low though. That's just them trying to hijack the viewership of the novel and get eyeballs on their BS.
It’s this.

Also, that spam post reeks of being written by an AI as well

I'm 50/50 on using AI to make art, but trying to get commissions from it is so slimy.

That is the most unsubtle usage of AI generated writing I've ever seen LOL

They realized that spam mails with spelling mistakes land in the junk folder so they moved to reviews and actually used AI for proper grammar check ?‍♀️

And yes, they are out for you. You've successfully caught their attention.
