I have a lot and I’m already getting headaches thinking about it LOL. I might have to change it to something even smaller eventually.

1. Write & edit 3000 words a week.
2. Read 52 Books this year.
3. Write multiple short stories/one shots as practice/fanfic.
4. Find a writing group eventually
5. Work out more

Thank you all so much for joining! Your goals are all great and I hope you reach them!

As for me, I did my 1 hour of Swedish today. Although, I will need to review some of the phrases from the audio lesson because it just so happens I didn't hear them well and mispronounced them. For example, just fine is bara bra, but I heard bara blue. So I repeated bara blue with the feeling of nailing it. But it wasn't bara blue, it was bara bra.

Maybe I should check out my ears.

In addiction to this one hour, I listened to Swedish music. Couldn't understand a thing, but that turned out to be good because it got me in the flow during my writing session, and I wrote a lot today. In this way, I am trying to train my ear to accept how this new language sounds. When I was learning Italian, the teacher said that this was a must. (It didn't stop me from ditching Italian, but I think the advice is sound.)

So, yeah, day one done, and it is just noon here!

I hope to read about your progress in this thread today as well, especially since most of you have writing goals, reading goals, and weight loss goals. (Also cooking goals, and in one certain user case, roommate changing goals)

Congrats on a productive day 1!

I finished my rough draft for a chapter today, finished reading a volume of a book and did some chores! If I have time, I’m gonna do more planning for my next arc :blob_melt:
Good job, Verdante! You are off to a great start!

I nearly got booted out of the Duolingo league! If I had waited to go there to get my practice, I might have dropped off. That owl is evil, I tell you! Anyway, I did better during the audio lesson, since I did google the words I didn't hear well enough yesterday, and they were repeated today. The Duolingo lesson was also a repeat of the first two topics, ordering food and speaking about the family, so I finished the level. I just figured I got enough repetition out of the normal levels. One section down!

One hour put towards Swedish, second day in a roll!

How are you all doing? @Verdante was very inspiring this morning, and I hope the rest of you also had productive days behind you!

Happy writing, everyone!

@RiaCorvidiva That is so good to hear! You can definitely do it! How much time do you have to write per day?
@Verdante How is your progress going? Did you manage to write another chapter?

So, today I decided to challenge myself, and after completing a lesson in Duolingo, I made all the skills I had so far legendary. I could swear before I got more exp for them, and they were cheaper. Anyway, I had fun. Probably went beyond the 1-hour mark, but I figured out a hard word, which is good.

How is your progress going?

Three things I need to do this year:
-Get new glasses
-Apply for disability to help me live life
-Write a new book by the end of the year.

Simple. Hopefully I do all three.
