Just continue to write. Don't look for praise because you will be brought down by criticism. Keep pushing forward until you finish at least one story. Don't be overambitious. As a new author, your story will never be the heaven-shaking masterpiece, so treat it as a learning experience.

Try to make your story the most fun for yourself. That way, it won't feel like a chore, but a hobby. Also don't get too caught up with the notifications when people comment.
I would change "When" to either "if" or "when/if" :D
Also, don't be discouraged if people don't comment, as long as you have readers (and, conversely, if you only have a small number of readers but they actually comment on your work, also don't get discouraged).

So I'd say the biggest thing to keep in mind, especially if you're quite a new writer, is that you have a new hobby, and everything you write is a way to express yourself artistically and improve your ability. If you're at peace with writing something entirely for your own satisfaction, you're in a good place.

Take pride in what you are creating. The odds are that your first story won't be a big breakout hit, but the odds are equally good that there won't be anything quite like it out there - it's special, your unique contribution. The first thing I wrote was a gender-swap story set in Ancient Greece; it didn't have especially high engagement, but even if theres only like five people out there looking for a story at the intersection of trans identity and Greek mythology, there's something out there for them to take a look at, even if its not very good.

Lastly, once you're comfy with the other stuff, think about presenting a good brand. Make your name/profile pic/cover art unique and memorable, upload to a reasonable schedule and always try to finish your projects, respond to comments etc. While publishing on my other site, each of my stories has tended to get significantly more engagement, clicks, comments etc than the previous one - partly this is because I'm getting better at writing, but also people begin to recognise you as someone who can put out a half-decent story and are willing to stick with you for the next project. You might never reach the level of the big hitters, but if you get to the point where people scan the new upload page, and recognise you as a writer they can trust to reward their time investment, it might help you to slowly amass a nice little following.

Best of luck :)

Don't chapter dump a pile of chapters then skip for a month or two. Space them out to the level that you finish a chapter at minimum.
I am posting one chapter a day and plan to do so till I've reached at least 12. And then once or twice a week. Is that good enough?

That makes a lot of sense. Thank you ?

Ohkay. I used to do this ngl. Because any and all sorta of feedback rn is like water in desert. But you're right if I like it, it shouldn't matter what others say (unless it's constructive criticism)

It's hard. But will keep that in mind ?

Thank you so much for such kind words. I won't say I'm new to writing itself. Its the posting and marketing that's new to me. I've been a closet writer for over 7 years now.
Still what you told me is quite insightful. Really appreciated ?
