Old cover Left. New Cover Right. Which do you think will attract more readers?

.......................Serious answer ?
Best left side but not mainstream anymore

Problem, you can't pick right side too.
The background is "not so good" (or even downright "bad" because it's too REALISTIC = fireworks in nightsky) and the character is beautiful but sadly it doesn't fit with your title, especially >>>>>"DEATH"<<<<<. There is too much disobedience that makes it unfit between title/character-on-cover. Analogy : imagine a zombie manga and the artist's assistant is sick (usually in charge of the characters), so hire a temporary one, but this person only did shoujos, you can imagine how unfit the result will be. Also bad combo of realistic fireworks background + anime character =like a cosplay of someone wearing "anime eyes".

Also the title would need a revamp or on your nxt novel.

Best tip.
Just go read a lot more of jp (syosetu) and chinese novels (faloo).

The one on the left looks like one of the eruptions that killed the dinosaurs. So if your story is more serious in tone and generally more grand in scope you should probably use that one. The second looks like that thing in anime/manga where someone sees the person they like and the background is filled with flowers, except in this case it is fire works. So if your story is more of a small scale comedy/drama you should use the second, especially if it is also a romance.
The background is "not so good" (or even downright "bad" because it's too REALISTIC = fireworks in nightsky) and the character is beautiful but sadly it doesn't fit with your title, especially >>>>>"DEATH"<<<<<.
I haven’t read the story so I don’t know it’s genera/themes, but I mean, that totally depends on the direction of the story. The cover, as you said, fits as the cover to a romance and/or a shoujo. So, as long as the story is one and the title is justified in context to the story than it doesn’t matter if death is in that title.
Here are a couple ways: In this world a somewhat common disability is losing your mana. There are people born without mana, but the first is more common. So it is essentially calling a story about a guy who gained asthma, the death of breathing. Melodramatic, yes, but it fits. Or it could be a smaller scope personal fantasy/drama focusing on how a person reacts to a wide scale disaster. The story focuses less on nations, heroes, and other grand things to instead focus on an average person trying to help their family and friends in this apocalypse. Or the first example I described but it isn’t the protagonist with mana asthma but a close friend, perhaps the person on the cover. Or the death of someone named Mana, and how it effects the people around them.

Although, I will say if this is a grand fantasy story than 1 fits better than 2, especially as Tsuru said with respect to the title.

I’d say your Synopsis is a bigger issue than your cover. It’s really not clear what the story is about from it.

People would be willing to read “Girl born with magic thought long gone, but the dragons of the world won’t suffer her to live. This is how she survived and fought back”

Pretty that up some sure but you need to hook them in from the description, be honest what the story is about, don’t treat it like it should be a mystery.

Why not merge both?

No, I'm not crazy, I'm not talking of overlapping them. I mean, make an epic cover with detail... and also an anime waifu.
Something like a girl wearing revealing armor... fighting a dragon, with a volcano background
Also, stylized font is more attractive
I like your suggestions, although of course there should be a cookie somewhere. . .always a cookie. Who wants to read a story without cookies? Chocolate chip, lemon bars. . .alright But here's the thing. I'm not an artist. Can you suggest a program that would greatly aid me. I've heard something about text to art AI programs.

Women = death of magic? Or Dragon = death of magic. I’m going dragon
Interesting. Each reviewer thinks about covers differently. What matters to me is whether the reader clicks on the cover and starts reading. I suppose it would actually be better if the cover also conveyed what the story was about, but from a marketing perspective I really value only one thing: did they read the prologue/first chapter or not.

To answer your question: The dragon doesn't kill magic. Magic is dying of old age. And because magic is the dragon's only food, dragons as a species are dying, too.

Left. You gave up 'awesome' for 'boring weeb nonsense'.

The fireworks in the background looks really awkward behind an HD manga character that seems to just be placed there because she's pretty. It would be a lot different if she is shown chanting magic or has magic in the palm of her hands. For now, it just looks like you simply slapped her on the cover and called it a day.
