Is it better to have one massive book or spit it into the 3 books say each book will then be around 35 chapters or a massive book of 100 plus chapters

Whats your word count per chapter? 100 isnt that massive if its ~1200 words a chapter like many web novels

For web-publishing it doesn't really matter. It's only important if you want a physical book or want to split into several ebooks for more money

It depends on your goals. If you just want to write, then one book is enough. But if you're thinking about marketing, then several books might be better. Marketing, by the way, can be as simple as impressing readers with the number of completed books. They tend to take an author more seriously when they see that he or she can finish what they start, rather than abandoning a book halfway through.

seriously, if a book is less than 250 pages, it feels like it's finished before you start. If it's over 600, it feels interminable.

At least when you are dealing with actual publishing.

If you plan on doing a webnovel that may eventually get published, it can all be one book... but having the occasional break where you let people know that the actual book would end can help them offer suggestions for getting things pounded into order.

If you are doing a webnovel for sponsorship? Don't bother dividing it up. You can have a plot thread that doesn't get resolved for 500 chapters, just remember to keep a list of ongoing plot threads. web readers DO like seeing problems resolved, but you can take your time as long as you keep them entertained while waiting for a particular denouement.
