I was an assistant teacher for a while, or whatever the equivalent to having a teacher's workload and responsibilities but not having their paycheck is called, until the local village school had to reduce their everything.

Now I'm a freelance translator & editor. I would have loved a job at the local tax bureau (mainly for the same reasons as Corty; doing anything but work while getting paid for it), but I honestly love my job when commissions are going, and hate my job whenever no jobs come in. Work when you want, sleep when you want, until the deadlines come in and suddenly coffee is your best and only friend...

Studying for a master's degree due to peer pressure T_T, and working in a campus lab as lab tech/assistant doing drug research. Sometimes, I get to work with cancer, some other times, just mix one clear liquid into another in microliter measurement and then lose track of which is which and have to redo them all over again, or run some experiment and procedure that can take as long as 18hours to be complete, (Or as little as 2 hours if I compressed the actual work and without the sitting around and waiting).

It is fun, and I like it. What not to love about the betterment of humanity, and our questionable morality and uncertainty of the future, and be doubtful if my effort is ever going to contribute to our scientific advancement?
