It is the truth written albeit in a little bit of comedic tone. Regarding your mate who posts smut... ON RR... HA! That is a bullshit I don't believe.
I simply think that he/she is just lucky staying under the radar. The moment someone reporting their story to the mods and it will be fried. I am sure!
IF you do not agree lets make an experiment and I will report that story as offensive so we watch and see the results??

Reminds me of how I was unceremoniously kicked off Wattpadd. RR did a manual review of my story and let me keep it, perhaps because I got a lot of chapters posted before they implemented their latest system for automatically detecting if there's too much smut.

It’s getting popular because people are horny a lot of the time. This, however, creates a situation where there’s too much horny-appealing-plot and genuine-plot. It feels weird to read now. Even I, and I will admit this, only came to the site because of an r18 novel that caught my attention.

Nobody cares until it get into rising and a salty authors reported it because it ranked higher than their story.

I find it funny how people keep saying SH is better than RR. You can't compare the two. RR is for competitive writing, SH is for the hobbyist. The closest comparison to SH is Wattpad. SH is Wattpad before the community forum closed down.

It doesn't stop some authors here to trash on their competition, though. Old habits die hard. I still remember that time when trending #2 started a drama to make trending #1 stop writing. After spamming their story with *1 and comments warning to not read their story didn't work, they attacked the author.

The free writing and creating spirit that SH represented wouldn't last forever. This site's rules are looser because it lacked enough mods to enforce stricter rule. Expect the rule to be less lenient after SH have more mods.

Hmm interesting observation indeed. I find it strange the situation of one author trashing another because there is no money involved. What left to provoke such behaviour must be psychological. Therefore I wrote a short story about that effect for fun
