Ranting over here.
Once again it is a CN MC benefit, but it can be considered a world trait because technically a cultivator is only limited by the time, inner capabilities and resources in hand to actually dabble in all fields of studies and excel.
Context: in a xuanhuan world, there are multiple ways (jobs) to cultivate from rank 9 (九品) to rank 1 (一品) (9 is lowest while 1 is highest)
Strange that all of them follows the 9 levels.
Jobs are leveled individually, it means that leveling up the job of a kungfu man will not increase your level as the pillmaker. The person gets broader (knows more things) but is shallow (not immersed in said topic)
So far I am weirded out by the lack of distinction between main and sub jobs, it really feels like the only distinction is the user's own preference.
Also, a lot of jobs just bleed into one another, making me wondering why even bother splitting them. Like, taking jobs as a war mage, monk and druid automatically makes the cultivator into a CCQ specialised monster and the people in-verse will say that the dude is a multiclasser even though all three of his classes is about fist to face.
Lastly, because the jobs are often depicted as silos amongst one another in a cultivator, there is no synergy. Instead, the folks dabble in a bit of kungfu man to toughen body, necromancy to Arise and Wish mage to do "random bullshit GO!" And the fight just commence.
By the way, MC is a cultivator who has one job that lets him shoot fire out of his mouth and telekinetically deploys sword bits, one job that lets him bribe people with his money, one job that turns him into a forbiddon lovechild of cthulhu and tiamet and his main job that fucks with all his enemies by not suffering from ANY DEBUFFS other than damage (it also meant that he cannot be tracked), cast retard ray onto them as well as stealing their lifeforce and cultivations.
The closest I had seen an MC build is an assassin who had a job of Transmutation (he tried to turn MC into a farm animal for easy slaughter) and a low level kungfu man which is useless against MC onslaught.
To hell, even MC allies commented on this. "Many people can learn all the different jobs, but to learn and level them up until so high? What the fuck MC?!"
