Final destination series. I don't think anyone walked away from those scot free.

I've seen my share of gore, and yes ThAT ? gore too but final destination is just too... believable.

I'm seeing a lot of body horror and gore stuff so here's something a little different. I Care a Lot (2020) is a more recent film that I absolutely hated.

The acting is good but the plot is pretty bad, the main character is pretty much a Mary Sue until the end. Pretty much all the characters are evil and the audience is supposed to hate them (which the film does an excellent job of doing).

The real issue with the movie is the setting. The premise of the movie is that the main character works as a legal guardian for elderly people and is bribing doctors and lying in court to be able to steal assets from old people. My issue is that people like that actually exist. Elder abuse is real and quite common, especially when talking about wealthier older people. This film portrays elder abuse in a satirical exaggerated way but after watching it, I'm sure that things like this are happening to lesser extents all around the world. As someone with a grandmother with dementia and whose parents are talking to lawyer to negotiate with uncles and aunts, this is a terrifying movie.

I absolutely hated the film. I hated the characters, the plot was unbelievable at times, and I hated that the initial premise of the movie could exist in the real world. I will never watch this film again but I do recommend seeing it at least once (at least the first half). I wouldn't go so far as to say that it traumatized me but it's certainly something that will stick with me for a long long time.

An attention-seeking classmate back in highschool, played the entire darn thing in the big LCD screen, and people who won't watch are gay.

I have watched a Serbian film, the taming of rebecca, mai chan daily life and mondo cane(this was worse)?.
Lowkey I always wonder what runs through the head of some of those writers and directors. At some point, gore and horror and such loses any entertainment value and just becomes disgusting, I think

What kind of movies left an impression that was definitely not got for you.
1)Final Destination.
2)The hills have eyes.
3) Wrong turn.
4)Texus chainsaw massacre.
5)Saw.
None, the closest would be in second grade I watched ‘The Boy in Striped Pajamas’ with my mom. It was more sad/heartbreaking/fury inducing than it was traumatic
Grave of the Fireflies. It is not a kids movie. I repeat, it is NOT a kids movie...
watched that at 14 or 15 and was more sad/anger inducing than traumatic.
Same with this one scene. Used to watch this movie on repeat as a kid.

There's not enough room on this big door Jack, you're going to have to freeze to death and drown. Love you always.

There were a lot. Mononokehime, Starship Troopers, Barefoot Gen, It (the milder 1990 version), Saving Private Ryan, Schindler's List, The Ring, Slaughterhouse 5... My older sister had ridiculous tolerance for horror and violence even as a kid, so my parents learned a very skewed reference for what kinds of movies are appropriate for kids at which ages. She was enthusiastically watching Neon Genises Evangalian and Battle Angel Aileta when she was eight. On the other hand, my tolerance for gore and horror has always been rock bottom for my age group. I wet the bed after watching Barefoot Gen when I was 16. I still have the occasional Twilight Zone based nightmare.
