Mixed Messages regarding fanfiction

So, I write a mix of original content and fanfiction as dictated by my current mood. The current idea on my brain is a self-insert multicross between From The Depths (an extremely detailed engineering-focused indie game) and a few other non-corporate IPs (Girl Genius being one of them). I've already posted it on a few other sites, and I'm trying to figure out if I'm allowed to do that here, since my google-fu regarding what is and isn't allowed has failed to find any sort of coherent policy. Could someone please clear up the confusion?

Yes, as I wrote and published one here, the answer is a definitive yes. I wasn't banned yet and if you create a story there is fanfic tag.

Given the tag for fanfics i would assume so.

Granted i have no interest in reading fanfics most of the time.
