I recommend trying the Usogui manga, but the situations there mostly happen when the author cleverly tricks the reader and the characters make incorrect guesses. Some situations are funny, some scary, but in general the read is awesome.
i immediately thought of 'im the evil lord of an intergalactic empire' and 'eminence in shadow'. Both jp novel and can be found in NU. There is also a jp novel where the mc is a OP reincarnated person and her sister is a general of demon king army. She thought those demons are just her sister's playmates and so misunderstanding galore begin.

It's phenomenal but Usogui isn't about misunderstandings.
Trash of the Count's Family is really good if you're looking for misunderstandings. Its KR if that's alright with you.

The ending pissed me off so much. I vowed to never read a single novel from this novel ever again after reading his third novel where he fumbled the ending THE THIRD TIME!
