Congratulations! Did you get kicked off Wattpad like I did?
My advice is to submit a Lewd Poem to my collection, and with it I'll share a link to any story you want to promote!
You can submit as many poems as you want. The more, the merrier!

I've recently felt comfortable growing up out of malereader inserts and silly fanfics, and decided to move here for future work.

Sorry if I'm posting in wrong place, but I just wanted to hear if there are any advices I should hear before starting out. Thanks in advance!
Hi there! :D
Was on Wattpad once too. Nice to meet you.

Forum Stuff
  • Don't stay too long on the forums, you'll be dragged into the Cursed Procrastinator Cycle.
  • Make sure to know which section of the forum to post on for the type of question/thread you want to post.
  • You need post 50 messages in threads before you can change your Custom Member Title.
  • You can change your username under forum Profile > Account Details > Username. There's 1 month cooldown before you can change it again.

Approval Stuff
  • When you publish a new story, it takes some time for the mods to look at it and approve it before you can see it on the site.
  • Each time you upload a story cover, even if its for the same story, will also take some time for it to get approved.

Posting Story Stuff
  • People suggest to write weekly and update often so that way you'll be noticed in the Latest Series update.
  • Even if one asks many times, no one truly knows how Trending works aside from the creator.
* Many advertise to publish your writings on multiple platforms to gain more publicity for your story reads.

  1. 1-star rating is inevitable. Be prepared and get used to it.
  2. Some readers here can get very harsh, maybe even at toxic level. Don't take them to your heart.
  3. Don't upload too many chapters at once.
  4. Most readers here are from America and Europe, so you may want to post your chapters based on those time zones.
  5. Join Scribblehub discord.
That's all from me, I guess.

No, I'm doing pretty good there. My first story is slowly reaching 400k reads, while my lemon story I dropped is at 86K. Thanks for offer, but I'll do just fine on my own

I tried wattpad for a bit, and it became very clear very quickly my books would have no audience on that site!

Yes. I'm still on there and still have my stories there, but I'm not very active there anymore. I've been there for a LONG time, though (since 2011). It was good while it lasted (first 5 years I was on were really great times), till the first death throes happened in 2018, so I abandoned ship and landed here before Wattpad sucked me under.
