Hello fellow artists !

It is now May, and like every year, it signals the start of the Mermay !

What is the Mermay ? Much like Inktober, it is a whole month where you have to draw one drawing a day following a list of themes that you can find on the official website of the Mermay. During this month, a lot of people will check the hashtag #Mermay2025 on social media, and it helps a lot for recognition, so it is a well liked challenge in the artist community. If you participate this year, don't hesitate to post your creations here !

Reminder for people who don't know : Like the name suggests, you have to draw mermaids during the month of may. If you want to follow the official list, here it is :

I'll start with mine, since I created the post. I try to do it every year but ultimately give up halfway through, so this time to make sure I complete the month, I'll only draw 30 minutes sketches.

The art is pretty! It just took me time to realize the white streaks were rain, not my screen cracking over, lmaoooo.

I was sick but I'm back with day 2 : Cosmic ! I'm so frustrated, I stopped myself at a 30 minutes sketch, but I feel like I could have done a really cool thing with a few more hours...

Never heard of this one before. Not big into mermaids (and my "favorite" version were horrific monsters with fish tails, bird-like faces, and nasty claws who created illusions through their singing) myself, but a cool idea.
