You can still post originals in the community fiction subforum like @Saileri
I know that. You could post translations there too.
But as people started abusing the system and not reporting them, so those titles can be hidden from main site to not hog the space from originals, and even started posting translations as their own work... Yeah.

I definitely don't mind enforcing the ban on translations, especially if its been a site-wide rule since day 1, but I do worry about how the enforcement has been rolled out.

I'm not a translator of any sort, every word I've posted on this website or any other website has been written by me. And yet, I still had a story that is NOT a translation hidden this morning.

But I wasn't given any sort of official message from the website that it was hidden, I had to be told by my readers. Luckily I have a large audience on this website, so I was informed within hours, but I worry about how many smaller writers have had stories that are NOT translations hidden by the purge today who won't even know why they're suddenly not getting any reader growth going forward.

Mentioning this to my writer colleagues in another Discord and one of them also found that one of their stories that is NOT a translation was hidden on the site today, something they wouldn't have known if I hadn't told them they needed to check.

Both of us have sent in emails through the proper channels to get the issue resolved and I have high hopes from what others have said that it will indeed be fixed for us soon, but I'm nevertheless concerned about how many other writers who are not translators are out there getting their stories shadow banned because of false positives like what me and my friend are currently dealing with.

TL;DR: There probably should have been some sort of automated official alert sent out with the removal of every translation just so those of us who do not post translations but had stories erroneously removed in this purge anyways can at least know and contact the website admins about it.
No, it only depends on what they think.

@Corty I'm starting to feel like this thread has been split into two different discussions.
It has, there was a request to clean the thread, but nothing happened.

I’ll be honest, I gave up on it way before translations were finally banned for real. I am happy that it had an effect, but I’m out.

I focus on writing alone and shitposting instead, especially after seeing the countless idiotic reactions from the general userbase after rules were finally enforced.

Found another one from the same user. Seems to be a translator account.

Reported the user, the translations, and the scam bots in the comments.

"public domain", my ass.

Looks like the TL finding bot still has holes, given that TL passed the check to become published, but not my vibe check
