So, here I am, starting this, but I really can't stay silent about it.

What is this about? Simple. I can see that the smut stories are getting more and more, which I am not against, but some of them clearly break the rules and guideliness.

What is possible to post in the site? Many people don't read it, so I will give a link for it.

There are some things that can't be written about and go too far.

@Tony, I suppose it will be better to ping you here, cuz I think you should implement some measurements against such stories.

There are content guidelines? Were you actively camouflaging them or what? :blob_reach:

There is a link right next to the content warning button when you create or edit your novel.
Quite a few people seem to miss that one though.

I searched for it and still miss it. There should be a big mean red warning sign for things like this.

Which of the smut rule are you referring to? The one where smut makes up more than 50% of the story?

The problem is SH is lacking staff to enforce those rules at this time. I can't really sit down and read through the stories to see if the content guidelines are being violated. My time should be spent on developing and advertising the site.

Definitely. Maybe something to automatically to ping a staff (once I get more!) if it detects if a story is violating the content guidelines so a staff member can check it out.

I will give you an example here. Though I feel sorry to target someone. And is 1 of the more favorite stories too.

Basically, the MC is still a baby when he starts the se*ual activities. He sleeps with his stepmother too...That's a breaking of the rule, no?

It definitely does and the story has been hidden. I'll send the author a PM asking him to edit it out if he still wants his story on SH. Thanks!

No problem. I hope you are able to gather staff soon. That will help to weed out some other stories, cuz I'm sure that isn't the only one.

This may be a dumb, stupid, borderline retarded idea but why not start screening for more staff RIGHT HERE in the forum. Send an application or some shiz. Give a valid reason on why should we hire you and all that. Run an interview in Discord or something. I'm sure there's at least some intellectuals out there who have nothing better to do.

If this rules are really enforced, then I have somehow the feeling that half of the trending page is going to disappear ... :blob_melt:

Honestly, the content guidelines/prohibited content should be their own category.

Secondly, it should be put in the FAQ, because thats the first place I looked when looking for the content guidelines (seriously. why is it not there)

Also do you know how long it took to find the FAQ? Nobody scrolls down that far. And it's not even labeled as FAQ. It'd be better to put it in the header, with the Read, Create, and Forum buttons.

Anyway, these are just my opinions, take away what you will.
