So... I want to make a fantasy world map for my story (because it would be easy for the readers to see where the protag is going and will go to) but I am not confident in my map-making skills.

So... do you have any websites/map generators that you know of and can use that are easy-to-understand and all the good features aren't locked behind pay-walls?

It's not a site per se, but you should probably check out WASD20 on youtube. He has a video about five free map-making sites\tools.

Ah, ty. I can also accept apps or such. As long as I can save the maps as PDFs or files on my device.

Inkarnate - Create Fantasy Maps Online - I used this one for my fiction's world map (I suck, but did my best), You get one map per free account, so use it wisely.

Worldspinner: Fantasy map making and worlds building - You can randomize maps, sometimes something cool will come out.

Azgaar's Fantasy Map Generator v1.62 - This even has country borders. Easy to read, Easier to make.

donjon; Fractal World Generator (bin.sh) - World randomizer. YOU CAN ALSO MAKE CALENDARS HOW COOL IS THAT?!

Medieval Fantasy City Generator by watabou (itch.io) - City generator, pretty good for medieval-looking maps.

Inkarnate is a pretty decent option. It has tons of features locked behind paywalls, but the free version is decent enough to make a map~

... Personally speaking though, I'd just make something on paint, that's what I did back when I was GMing the Adventurer's Guild on NUF. It was easier to update a Paint map over a more complex map~
