It's pretty funny how those stories reflect the wishes of their demographic: Japanese (both m/f) want to be loved for the loser they are, korean males want to play games and get rich, korean and chinese females want softporn harem drama with themselves as the center, and the chinese males want to be the assholes that destroy the world while being smug about it.


I hate harem-seekers, especially the too dumb or perverted ones to function.

Legendary McGuffin falling in the hands of loser MC who turns out to be a chosen one (because of the random McGuffin), or idiot plots in general.

And worst offender goes to the (snarky) system only the MC can use for whatever reason.

Due to this thread, I revisited some of these novels that I used to read and I found the most GrrRRRrr one.

-MC had a contractual marriage with Guy for 3 years coz he wanted to remarry with his childhood sweetheart.
-MC agreed at the time coz she liked the guy for 10 years since then. LOL
-Like girl! You had a miscarriage coz your dipshit of a husband didn't believe you when you called for help when you got into a car accident, while he was having a date with his childhood sweetheart. TBF, she should have bodyguards following her coz she's rich af ( I think the side chick was the one who had MC's car rigged.)
-Guy then realizes his mistake, leaves the mistress, then apologizes and all is forgiven, heck she even got pregnant again, now with twins.
-But nooo~, childhood sweetheart returns, and they finally divorced.
-Date of marriage of Guy and CS coincides with her delivery date, you'd think she'd learn her lesson and have at least someone accompany her to the hospital, but nooo~
-Another accident occurs, but this time she's able to reach the hospital. (Plans to "die" so Guy would finally leave her alone.)
-Guy somehow hears about it and realizes his mistake AGAIN (ffs), backs off at the last minute and CS shoots him for leaving her.
-Guy goes to hospital with bullet somewhere in his body, and cries at the "dead" MC. ( Can't even recognize your own ex-wife for 3 years)
-MC sees him crying (LOL)and is touched, then realizes she still loves Guy (wellfckyoutoomc). Girl, you weren't even at the venue. He didn't catch a bullet for you. lol
-Doctor helped her do this coz he realizes that MC is his long lost sister after seeing her birthmark and asking about her background (fcking asspull)
-MC goes overseas to meet her real parents and make a career so she could support guy. qwedwedwqgrgrgr

I have a love hate for systems. I hate that in most lit, they just fucking exist. Like Solo Leveling at least explains the system. Everyone else? Just has one because raisins. Now I'll accept a system if it's sci-fi, or done well, like the one in The Lord's Coins aren't Shrinking, where it's an interdimensional Amazon/Ebay, which most people uses a Sears-Robuk style catalog.

Also harems, lore drop of me, I used to be a polygamist, it fucking sucked and I was extremely unhappy. Having more than one girlfriend at a time is hard, especially if they know, and are friends, and their cycles are synced. (My case was twins, not as cool a bag, who couldn't bare to be parted. They ended up hating each other and blamed me)
