Fell off a cliff thematically. I'm always sad when someone writes a great first chapter and its just an isekai. It's like getting tricked. I thought it was about something else.

That seems really cool! There are a lot of other people who've already posted their own stories, but it'd be really cool if you could take a look at mine to see if it'd be a good fit! I tried to make more of a somewhat comedic yet serious deconstruction of the isekai genre about a bunch of Ex-Isekai Protagonists running around rescuing other summonees from Earth from terrible conditions. The first book is about one particular member and his mission to a seemingly innocent world where something is terribly wrong underneath.

I can guarantee that the first chapter alone is worth having a good laugh over! The link is in my signature, at the bottom of this post!

Liked the video. I didn't watch the whole thing, since I'm technically around 60 pages into Hyperion, and have been for nearly a decade. I lost my copy, so maybe it's time to cave and buy it on Kindle so I can finally finish the fight.

Tempting read, but I don't think I could really vibe with it. Maybe some sort of shorter abridged version would be within the realm of my motivation.

Haha, I was really slow reading at first. It wasn't till I got through the first story at the 100 page mark that I knew I was in for something special and really went at it. Those first 100 took me two weeks.

If nothing else, you could just read the short stories within that sound interesting to you since they're all stand a lone and like fifty pages each.

Yeah, time to buy it now. I do think it's incredibly ironic I stopped reading the book for a lot of the same reasons people don't get beyond chapter 2 of mine.
