Looking for Romance Novel recommendations.

I'm looking for a traditional romance novel to read. Can you recommend any on this site?
I'm okay with sci-fi, fantasy, drama, slice of life, etc.
I'm not okay with; too much smut, harem, and YA styles.
I don't particularly like a helpless female who needs the man to continually rescue and take care of her. I'd also like one that won't be ongoing forever. I'd like a conclusion to the story.

You might like my story? It's a historical fantasy set in a matriarchal society, so no helpless females. There is some mystery and drama later on, but I keep it pretty slice of life for the most part.

It *is* reverse harem, but I put more of a found family spin on it, and try my best to avoid common pitfalls of the genre. I also focus way more on romance, with only a few steamier scenes when appropriate.

This is the summary:

Hmm. You might want to check my story, "No Need For A Core?" out. My shortest summary:

"Fantasy story about a 3-person relationship and figuring out their new lives and then dealing with the bigoted assholes/cult from one person's backstory."

That said, there's a lot of non-traditional stuff going on, and it is not at all focused on common romance tropes. To quote a reader from RR: "Healthy and open communication? Now I know I am reading a fantasy! "

There is a whole lot going on other than romance, they are living their lives, but this is part of their romance, building a life together, and life is a thing that just keeps happening. But this story, and 90% of these events, would not happen without this romance happening first. The world is reacting to them, not the other way around.

Mostly.

Sometimes events from outside their current bubble of awareness intrude. That's the plot involving the bigoted cultists. :)

You might like mine? It's a Gothic soft romance set in a Victorian England-inspired world, my spin on the classic vampire x vampire hunter, immortal x reincarnated human lover trope. The FL is an emotionless, cold-blooded fighter, and the ML is a yearning gentleman. Their dynamic focuses on his warmth melting her ice, her allowing herself to be loved. FL is definitely not helpless in terms of combat. The writing style is intended to be more... dreamy? Poetic? Heavily influenced by my upbringing with Chinese poetry haha.

Warning: it is very slow-burn. The ML is gradually introduced in between the FL's chaotic hunting life and family life. No grand romantic gestures yet, but a lot of heart-to-heart conversations. No smut (yet). You follow the FL's personal life and emotional development more.

Because the romance is very slow-burn, I can just tell you the chapters that the ML shows up: 3-5, 8, 16-22, 27, 34, 39-42, 51-54 (53 and 54 not uploaded yet). The most romance-heavy chapters are 20, 40-42, and 51-52. The romance will be amped up from here on out.

However, this story is quite long. I'm not even done uploading my backlog, yet. I do have a planned direction, but it'll be a journey. So I understand if you feel like it's ongoing forever.

You might like The Gate of Shadows. While it has sexual content, it is by no means the main focus; the author made love the core theme, not lust. Also, it's completed, so you won't be left hanging.
