Hey, quick question before I get into this: you've got two tags that seem to be in conflict with each other:
Love at First Sight vs.
Slow Romance. So, I am getting the Slow Romance vibe, but not this Love at First Sight business... unless you're talking about what happened at the airport? You know, with the security guard?
Reason I'm bringing this up is because readers are gonna hate ya if this is mistagged, you know?
Hey!
Thanks to read it:)
It's not a romantic scene. It simply places the reader in the context of the state of her relationship with her partner and her own state of mind. I was trying to convey that the main character is trapped in a relationship where there isn't even any chemistry or desire, which she might experience with a stranger.
There are more chapters. I'll keep uploading them. My native language is Spanish, and I'm translating them myself, which is why it takes me a little longer.
The next chapter addresses another character's point of view. The chapters are long, and I think it's slow burn despite the chemistry between them.
Questions that must be answered.
New Adult is a subgenre of romance. It is characterized by the age of the characters, who are usually between 18 and 25. It narrates the first steps of adulthood. In the specific case of my novel, the great majority of the characters are in their 20s.
What is newadult and how it different from oldadult or justadults?
The difference is the time period. You have Young Adult, which is based on the teenage years, and New Adult, which is 18-25 years old. At least that's how I understand it.
They are subgenres within romance but full of drama. With this first book, I seek to open the door to the next ones. This first book is lighter to read compared to the others, which are more dramatic.
