I've been put off the usual gig platforms (fiverr, freelancer etc..) because they take such a huge cut from both the seller and the buyer of services. I also can't afford a super-professional narrator with a sound studio and wot not.

Do you have a nice clear voice and enjoy reading stories that are a bit edgy?

I'm prepared to GIVE someone the audio book rights to a story, as long as they credit me as the author and include my website address in the intro and outro. Yep, the narrator will own the audio book and be able to sell it as they wish, retaining 100% of the income. (I'll retain rights to the ebook and be able to do the same. The ebook will also promote the audio book. You get the idea hopefully. And no, I'm not smoking something.)

The first one is a sci-fi novella. "Warp Factor: Bitch" Word count = 20k. Here's the synopsis...

When you wake up in a cage, at a slave market on an alien planet of sentient lizards, you might be forgiven for thinking "Life's a bitch and then you die", before surrendering all hope.
Jen decides instead that SHE'S the bitch, and she's going to give life a swift kick in the balls. Or the lizard equivalent of balls anyway.
Join her as she fights back on behalf of her devastated human race in this rollicking scifi novella that's sure to offend someone.

The second one is a small modern vampire novel. "Alice ate the Rabbit". Word count = 54k. Here's the synopsis...

Alice always knew she was special, but not in a good way. Her secret thirst for blood made for an awkward adolescence to say the least, and now a teen romance threatens to release the demons she's worked so hard at locking up. Worse, someone is always watching her from a curb crawling black Mercedes. When an assassin attacks, Alice and her first love flee their small town, and the world tilts to reveal who she really is and what she's destined for.

Both are adult and raunchy. Someone told me my writing is "transgressive". I had to look that up.

I won't include links incase the post is mis-interpreted as a lame plug for my stuff. (even though anyone on scribblehub can have my books for free... just ask). But here are the covers...

thanks for your time.

I've had a look yeah. Some of the AI voice services are quite impressive. Better than I expected, even. But they still don't sound natural enough. They don't put the right emphasis on words, or use a sarcastic tone when appropriate, for example. You probably know what I mean.

you could hire an editor to edit the AI audio to match what you want.

Unrelated but damn, that Alice cover looks so good!
thank you! All I did was write the prompt, I have to admit. AI did the rest. Although it took a lot of rejected generations before that one popped up. I love it. but find myself explaining that no animals are hurt in the story, because its kinda disturbing, right?

true. but then I'm paying twice? I'm hoping my idea of just giving away the rights will get the story into an audiobook.

I'm not the best person to judge either something is disturbing or not, because to me fiction is fiction, art is art.
A lot of people that are sensitive, therefore, unable to separate both realms.
My favorite voice for narrator is the one in soul reaver
