So standard revenge trope will have the standard steps.
1. Someone innocent (these days it is the bloody MC) gets hurt
2. MC hunts cunts. And the antags are cunts. Pedophilic, cannibalistic and necrophilic cunts.

It is standard for a reason, MC good guys, antags cunts.

Currently am looking for something else such as:
1. Maybe innocent is actually cunt
Or
2. Maybe antag is not a cunt.

Not sure if it has a manwha or LN but just started watching "Weak Hero" on Netflix where the MC is a total cunt (he is almost as unlikable as the apparent main villain in the first episode and starts being almost likeable in "Class 1 Episode 2" - each season is a "Class" not a season). Seems mildly autistic and very violent - but not very effective at violence except when he can do the math behind it first... and even then, he gets overwhelmed without support.

As a reader of the original webtoon, the drama was executed badly. As a stand-alone, it's decent, but they changed many things from the original source. What irks me the most is indeed the fact that the drama didn't show the MC using his intelligence to fight. THAT IS THE WHOLE POINT OF THE WEBTOON. I watched it because I like the leading actor, but the execution is just…hhh.

South Korea starts milking webtoon into adaptations because they already have an established fanbase, but the track record isn't great. The latest case is the Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint movie adaptation trainwreck. I'm not sure about romance adaptations though cuz I don't hear many problems on that part.

Anyway, south korea's webtoon adaptations is notorious for butchering the original source so far, so I encourage everyone to read the webtoon whichever title it may be. :blob_okay:

Well, I heard that "All of Us Are Dead" was a good adaptation (it added a lot of details and tweaked the order abit - but then I only found the first ten strips for free and never had the cash to get through the paywall)

I heard not many good things about the drama. Most advised me to take this drama as its own separate media instead of having any connection with the webtoon. Probably treating it as another universe with its history but bearing the same source of IP.
